St37 is a German brand, consisting of multiple small brands. It is a grade of carbon structural steel material in Germany. Such as: St37-2 St37-3U St37-3n RSt-2 USt37-2 and so on.
DIN 17100 was the German Standard containing 'St 37' as a 'Steel for general structural purposes'.
It was replaced by the European Standard EN 10025 already in 1994.
The product range however was valid for bars, wire rod, flat products (strip, plate, wide flats) seamless and welded, square and rectangular hollow sections, forgings and semi-finished products.
